Case of the Mondays plus Olive and Linen Review

Happy Monday friends!

We have a serious case of the Mondays in our house today. Its the first day in almost two weeks we haven’t had someone visiting whether that be a family member or someone coming to help us work through all the ruffles we have encountered since moving into our house. We have gone no where and every project that has been started has been left incomplete. Even our playroom has a case of the Mondays.

The only things I have done that were productive today is workout, keep my kids fed, safe, and alive, and fold a load of laundry. Speaking of laundry…I do laundry constantly and one of the things I was washing incessantly were towels. They would get stinky or scratchy so fast and I’d have to run them through the laundry right after I had just put them back in the closet. On total impulse I purchased some Turkish cotton towels from Olive and Linen and I honestly can’t stop buying them.

These towels are soft, absorbent, quick drying, beautiful, easy to wash, and ginormous. I’m obsessed and it’s ridiculous to admit. We have replaced all our old terry cloth bath and hand towels with Turkish towels.

Having these lovely towels in bath and hand towel sizes wasn’t enough once I became a Turkish cotton towel fan, I wanted allllll the things from Olive and Linen. I also tried their kitchen towels which were great but my absolute favorite is the bathrobe.

I have a small collection of random bathrobes. Yes, that’s a totally old lady thing to do, but there always seems to be a robe that fits the occasion or the weather. A short one for a warm weather morning to take the dog out, a long fluffy one for after showers in the winter. But my whole robe collection has been collecting dust at the back of my closet for months. MONTHS. I have no need for all these other bathrobes because my one robe from Olive and Linen is just right.

What are the qualities for an ideal bathrobe?

  • Absorbent so it can be worn after a shower with wet hair and not get your jammies all wet.
  • Comfy and soft. No one wants a scratchy robe.
  • Big enough but not oversized.
  • A strong and durable tie so it isn’t falling off.
  • Washable. Obviously…
  • Cute! No one wants to look and feel like a granny if they don’t have to.
  • Sleeves that can be rolled or pushed up for weekend morning dish washing.
  • Not an absolute necessity but having a hood and/or pockets is a nice bonus.

This robe hits all the boxes plus some. it’s washable, very absorbent, comes in multiple sizes and patterns, has a hood AND pockets, plus is made of soft lovely Turkish cotton. I don’t know if I’ve said it yet, but I’m a fan.

So now the real question is, does anyone want my old towels and bathrobes? I don’t need them anymore. 🤷‍♀️

And now we hit the couch for movies and afternoon naps, because why not?! There’s always tomorrow to be productive.
